09/23/06Community Calendar/For immediate release FREE CONCERT Jim Bohn will be performing at the Lutheran Church of Peace, 1345 N. Water Street, Platteville, on Saturday, October 7th. Doors open at 6 PM and the concert starts at 6:30 PM. Bohn, from Grafton, WI, received the top awards in the Rock and Gospel categories at the Songwriter's of Wisconsin Awards Showcase in 2005. He’ll be performing songs from his critically acclaimed CD “Farther Up the Mountain” and his brand new CD “These Walls Tell a Story.” Visit www.JimBohn.com. Seating is limited. No admission will be charged. A freewill offering will be collected. 05/19/06May 19th, 2006 was the best performance of my life. Surrounded by amazing musicians and friends (not to mentioned four great female singers) the night was intense and filled with great music. My thanks to all who participated on stage. We played nearly the entire CD, and a few old songs from the Jam Band days... "Shelter From the Storm" got a standing O. It was a moment I will never forget in this lifetime...
05/11/06Check the schedules on these local stations for live unplugged performances from "Farther Up the Mountain"!!! WYOU-Madison 01/09/05December 17th Show was a blast! The girls performances ranged from goofy (background singer chicks on "Mountain of Love") to mystical (Anna's performance of "White Bird") to intense (Windy's performance of "Wild Nights") to emotional and moody (Liz's performance of "Can't Find My Way Home"). As always, Dad is delighted to perform with his daughters! Jim's new CD, "These Walls Tell a Story" is nearly done! Expected release date: April 2006. Watch for details! Special guests Rick Piontek, Caitlin Last, Dana Earlandson, and Rob Shively (Stealin' Strings).

3-19-2005Jim Bohn was the guest male singer at Chick Singer Night on 3-16-2005 (click here for the photo gallery of the event). Enthusiastic applause came from the crowd when Alaria Taylor, the night's emcee [www.alariataylor.com] asked the crowd "Do you think he's man enough?" Jim shared the stage with 12 year old phenom Alex Williams from Dallas (Star Search finalist in 2003), Kerry Sherwood, and Barb Stephani. NEW CD in progress! Jim is working with his old friend George (Reverend Johnson) Nestler to collaborate on a new country/blues CD due for release in late 2005! More updates soon
